Anyone that knows me, knows that I am obsessed with my family and I base every decision that I make with their best interest at heart. It is for this reason that my husband and I made the decision for me to be a stay at home mom almost two years ago. It was the best decision that we have ever made! We decided to homeschool our girls and move forward with our photography business all with the hope of spending as much time together as possible. I feel that these moments are so temporary and fly by so quickly and I just want to indulge in this moment in our lives as much as possible.
Being a stay at home mom, contrary to popular belief, isn't a walk in the park especially when you are homeschooling and running a business. I find myself being more frugal these days and I actually love it. It has awaken new qualities in me that I never knew that I had. I've become an event planner, teacher, DIY queen and I must say I make some of the best birthday cakes ever. Please excuse my mommy ego but I have to say being a stay at home mom has given me such a high self esteem and has been the most rewarding job I have ever had.
I am no saint by far. I have a few little guilty pleasures here and there. My husband will tell you that I love love love chocolate and sometimes I need a little Kit Kat to get through my busy hectic day. I have to admit that I am a reality tv junky and I start a diet every Monday that I normally reevaluate by Tuesday ;-) . I love photography and shooting weddings with my, oh so hot, husband. I love the outdoors any activities that involve water!
My goal for this blog is to share best practices, ideas, DIY creations, activities for the little ones, our homeschooling journey and resources that will simplify your life. I want to share ideas for how to accomplish all of this without neglecting the hubby or yourself. I want this to be a platform where we can all discuss openly about our frustrations, concerns, laughs, experiences and accomplishments.
